Join us for a day of environmental stewardship at Eliza Howell Park Clean-Up Day! This annual event, held during Earth Week is a chance to give back to one of Detroit’s most beloved green spaces. Together, we’ll focus on litter removal, light landscaping, and trail maintenance to help keep the park beautiful and accessible for all.
Event Schedule:
9:30 AM – 10:00 AM | Volunteer check-in, supply distribution, and refreshments
10:15 AM | Opening remarks & team assignments
10:30 AM – 1:45 PM | Park clean-up (litter removal, trimming, and trail care)
1:50 PM – 2:00 PM | Wrap-up, group photo, and volunteer appreciation
What to Expect:
Volunteers will be divided into groups to cover different areas of the park, including woodland trails.
Supplies (gloves, bags, and tools) will be provided.
Light snacks and water will be available. Please bring your water bottle.
This is a family-friendly event—all are welcome! Bring your energy, wear comfortable clothes, and help us make a difference in our community.

EARTH FUTURES FELLOWS
This fellowship, part of Sidewalk Detroit’s festival and residency, supports artists focused on environmental justice, social change and reimagining fair futures. Fellows will collaborate with Sidewalk Detroit and local organizations to create art that fosters collective environmental action.
